Sri Lanka is an Island in the Indian Ocean Located to the south of the Indian subcontinent. Sri Lanka has everything from beautiful tropical beaches and rich vegetation to mountains and ancient monuments.

There are foods here that are eaten routinely which are rice with curry and hoppers and string hoppers ( string hoppers are made from steamed rice flour made into a dough with water and a little salt, and forced through a mould similar to those used for pasta to make the strings. They are cooked by steaming).

In Sri Lanka they play many sports but Cricket and Rugby are the most popular. Vollyball is the national sport though. Other sports include water sports, badminton, football, basketball, and tennis.

Sri Lanka’s Fauna includes Asian Elephants, leopards, monkeys, mongoose, sloth bears, jackals, Sambar and Chital deer, Water buffalo, wild boars, crocodiles, snakes, geckos, frogs, lizards, and many many birds. Unfortunately a lot of these species are threatened to extinction.
